剧情简介： 　　中国是全世界城市化速度最快的国家，中国已经有两亿多农民工，每年仍有更多农民涌入城市。陈军是居住在北京北五环外的一个农民工。15年前，他和他的家人从 河北农村老家来到北京，作为菜农，在北京承包了一片菜地。同時，陈军在自己家里建立了一个儿童乐园，和妻子小凤一起为周围农民工家庭的孩子免费提供书籍和 玩具。 　　2010 年，由于北京的城市扩张，陈军承包的菜地被村委会卖掉，陈军一家失去经济来源，他们苦心经营的家园也要面临限期拆除。陈军认为补偿太低，而且他也无法回到 农村老家——家乡的土地已卖掉，陋室已荒芜，因此他拒绝在拆迁协议上签字。此后，他和家人遭遇了村委会对他的家园断水断电和不断的暴力威胁。陈军则用拍摄 DV、发微博等方式开始艰苦的抗争。 　　除了运用网络的力量，陈军还找律師学习法律知识，并找到国土局要求公开征地资讯——他准备用法律来保护自己的家园。他想要的绝不仅仅是更多的赔偿款，而是要 在城市里被公正地对待，并为妻子、孩子、父母寻求一个可以安顿的家。随着时间的推移，陈军年幼的孩子慢慢在这里长大，这片荒芜的土地成了她的乐园。 2013年，陈军夫妇有了第二个孩子，他们只能回老家生孩子。回到北京后，陈军面临新的选择——是继续坚守在旧家园，还是为他们的下一代找一个安全宁静的 新家园。 　　导演阐述： 　　中国农民工有2.4亿人，他们从农村來到城市打工，为城市发展做出巨大贡献，但由于中国的户籍制度，大部分农民工无法在城市长期定居，而他們又不愿回农村，因为中国农村大多贫穷落后。 　　中国农民对于土地的感情非常深厚。土地是他们的衣食之源，是他们的家园，是他们的命根子。可是当代中国农民却常常遭遇土地的双重剥夺：在家乡农村的土地被所 谓的村集体剥夺，搞开发或租赁，仅给农民微薄补偿；到了城市，继续为城市人种地，再次对土地投入深厚情感，并在这里结婚生子安家，结果到头来土地又被剥 夺，补偿仍然极其微薄，完全不足以在城市里安身立命。所以像陈军这样的农民无论在城市还是在农村都不真正拥有土地，很多时候他们只是一厢情愿地想要拥有那 片土地。 　　《吾土》展现的不仅仅是一个在中国司空见惯的野蛮拆迁故事，也不是一个在法律意义上探讨主人公是否应该得到更多补偿的故事，而是进城农民在双重剥夺的背景下在城市里如何安身立命的故事，也是关于农民工家庭的勇气与温暖、农民工自身权利意识觉醒的故事。 　　新一届中国政府继续加快城镇化的速度，并以此作为刺激经济增长的重要手段，而这意味着更多的农民涌入城市。他们能在城市安家吗？能在城市过上有尊严的生活吗？透过《吾土》我们必须思考这些问题。

马汉（沙鲁克·罕 Shahrukh Khan 饰）是一名工作和生活在美国的印度人。常年过着和家人分离的生活，马汉感到十分寂寞，非常想念在故乡生活的乳母。某日，他决定踏上返乡的旅途，然而到达目的地后才发现物是人非，他的乳母早已经前往了一个名叫“脚印之地”的村庄。于是，马汉再度上路。 　　途中，马汉邂逅了名为吉特（Gayatri Joshi 饰）的美丽印度女孩，两人坠入了情网。马汉想将吉特带往美国，可是吉特的家人却坚持两人必须在当地完成婚礼的仪式。就这样，马汉在吉特的故乡住了下来，在和当地人朝夕相处之后，马汉才发现这个看似恬静的村庄，其实暗藏着许多隐患和风波。
